| | When warranted through dedication and significant contributions, the Waterproofing Contractors Association presents an award to one deserving individual who has contributed a great deal to the Association at present and in the past. This award was originally named "The Jim Boutwell Award".
Jim Boutwell (1918 - 1978) was a representative of Sonneborn Building Products for more than 20 years in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. He was a very devoted member of the Association, serving as an officer of the Carolinas and serving on numerous committees. Jim Boutwell was always at the meeting and he always did more than was required. His enthusiastic support of the Association was instrumental in keeping the Association
moving forward.
The Jim and Annette Boutwell Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Association. In 2001, the Association changed the name to the Jim and Annette Boutwell Award to also recognize the contributions of Jim's wife, Annette (1922-2002), the association's retired executive director who passed away in 2002.
